Have been hosting my site with them for over 10 years but finally had enough of the constant penalties where if you hit a certain (small) number of user interactions, they take your site down for 24-36 hours which loses you potentially thousands in lost sales, means you can`t work on your website during the downtime and plays havoc with Google. What I don`t understand is that the site used to be five times busier and functioned without anywhere near as many problems but suspect the limits were added in the last couple of years without our knowledge. They were not clear in communicating the source of the problem - they just said ``too much traffic`` and we knew we were getting hardly any customers. So can only assume the limits as set so low that this type of hosting is unsuitable for an ECommerce site where customers are actively doing things such as adding items to basket (as you do when shopping!). There was also a period in the past (not now) where support requests were totally ignored but I think they have overcome this. Also had constant problems with emails - for about a year there was a big black hole into which emails which had been sent to us just vanished - they were not helpful in trying to identify the cause - although after much frustration, they told me how to pull them from Gmail rather than autoforward and this did help. There have been some good moments - Dec is particularly helpful - and they helped me to set up Ssl certificates - and I was happy for the first 7 years or so but then things started going wrong and it was frustrating not being able to fix them. The site has gone down many times, not just when I was being penalised, but it never seems to show up on their stats. I often offered to pay more to get higher limits but an enhanced package was not available. To conclude, if like me you are not a tecchy person and do not understand IT matters very well, and you run any kind of shopping site (unless you have one with no customers) or have a lot of email addresses, then this is probably not the right hosting for you.
