This has gone from one of the best hosting companies to the worst on the internet in the last year.
My experience is they moved my sites to a slower server, which then made my sites to be down for 6 days out of every 7 days. So you can go to our sites 1 day a week.
There is now no access to control panel
No access to FTP
Google are dropping our sites as not found

The damage is incredible so do yourself a favour and use a company that can actually do hosting as it may be great to get cheap hosting, but if your hosting is cheap but no one can access your sites what is the point.
Their support team are really bad, they resolve nothing.
I have been talking to them for over a month and still they can not figure how to resolve, intact i have had to tell them things that they could not work out them selves.

I would stay away from Glitterhost.com hosting until they sack a few people and get a proactive approach to making the systems reliable. They start you on one server to reel you in but move you to what they say is a better server. Then you find the money you paid was totally wasted

I was unfair in my last review as although there was issues when they moved it to a new server, i eventually had the companies main person deal with my complaint.
He was horrified at this and set out to quickly find the problem, assuring me that glitter host aims to be the great hosting its always previously been. Yes there was issues when they moved to new server and i do not know why, but everything works perfectly after speaking to a different technician. It would appear that the person i had been speaking too for last 2 weeks had limited knowledge or limited motivation to put thine right.
I do want people to have a good hosting service as its really bad if your host lets you down.
I can assure you glitter host has resolved everything and all is super fast and working fine again.
I would on this basis recommend them and i will be staying with them. They are fairly economical too, but without a reduction in services.

Okay i was asked back in...

Okay i was asked back in April to change review as they were going to let me leave early.
I was leaving, as although it says zero downtime, that is for their main page not your websites they host.
My site was down more than it was up, worst hosting i ever used.

`Anyway the hosting which starts okay and goes bad after taking your money, is not the worst part.
I found that they took another years hosting subscription 10 months after i left.
Not a huge issue i thought, just tell them and they will refund.
Well they ignored the emails and request.
So i contacted them more forcefully.

I then had an unprofessional truly off the owner, abusive etc
he also stated already refunded.
So i contacted Paypal and asked what had happened?
Of course PayPal confirmed that Russel Chambers had not intact made a refund, intact he had done nothing.
I sent this information to Mr Chambers the owner of Glitterhost and of course he is silent.
So not only does he take money (mistake or not) but he then refuses to repay it and lies stating he has already repaid it. I even sent transaction ID for him to make it easy.
I would not use Glitterhost for many reasons
1. The techs are not good, they take ages to fix things often after i told them how to do it, its like they are lazy and just send a repeat email to you.
2. Downtime of your sites they host. This effects not only potential visitors but also your search engine ranking.
3Twice they took money that was not due, both times around Christmas time. the second they lie about having repaid it.
4 They really do not know how to look after customers, abusive and lies. It seems like they are nice until they have your money and then slowly the hosting and service deteriorates. I have emails to back this up, plus i have screenshots from PayPal. I am willing to share these with anyone who disputes this.
In fairness i gave them the option to put this right before posting this, i have no intention of writing bad about a company and effecting them, but this really does need to be done to warn others.
I am guessing (from conversations last year with Mr Chambers) that the company may be short of cash and that is why extra money goes from accounts and slow to be returned. I was asked earlier this year to remove bad review so i agreed to write a nicer one after they allowed me to move my sites elsewhere.
Its your money and your sites so do as you want, but at least i warned you.
